Practice Location
At this time, I am offering my services both in-person and via telehealth. For Telehealth, I use Zoom.
My physical office is located on the corners of Buffalo and Geneva streets in Ithaca, NY. It is in an office suite with other healthcare specialists. My office is on the first floor. There are two entrances, with the entrance on Geneva street having a ramp. An accessible restroom is available in the main hallway.
119 W. Buffalo Street is 3 blocks away from the commons in Ithaca, NY, making it very accessible to bus, pedestrian, car, and walking traffic. There is 2-hour street parking located adjacent to the building, both metered (M-F until 6 PM) and non-metered.
I share a waiting area with a few other healing-arts practitioners in the building and you are welcome to stop in to relax in the lobby before our appointment.
If you are experiencing a true emergency, I encourage you to please call the local crisis line at 607.272.1616 or dial 9-8-8.

How to Request an Appointment
If you are interested in working with me, please fill out my contact request form
Due to the type of clinical work that I do, I do not maintain a waitlist for individual psychotherapy
In the event that I do not have current availability, I will send you an email and will encourage you to please head over to my Find a Therapist page for vetted resources you can utilize to find a therapist
On that page, you will find several niched databases that can assist you with finding a therapist that may be a good fit and has current availability
If I do have availability, I will reach out with an email to schedule a free 15-minute Consultation over telephone or Zoom to discuss your therapy goals
During that consultation, I will answer any questions you have about my practice and collect some information about your specific goals for therapy so we can both collaboratively assess if it seems like a good match
Other specific information that I may collect during the consultation is up-to-date contact information (phone/email address), your full legal name, date of birth, and other insurance-related information if you are planning to use your benefits
Please have your insurance benefit card available at the time of the consultation
I try to keep my practice as paperless as possible. I use an electronic portal through SimplePractice where you will be able to complete my intake forms, access my practice policies, and process any electronic payments.
Before our first meeting, I will verify your insurance benefits ahead of time if I am in-network (Aetna, BCBS, UnitedHealthcare), or I will be providing you with a Good Faith Estimate if I am out of your insurance network.
Insurance & Fees
At this time, I am currently in network with Aetna, Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare
Individual sessions run for a “55-minute hour” and my fee is $150, which is due at the time of service
Some sessions, although, may be longer or more or less frequent. When more than 55 minutes are used in one session, I will prorate the additional time based on the 55-minute hourly rate
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your appointment, I require a 24-Hour notice. Failing to cancel within 24 hours, or not showing for an appointment, will result in you being charged a fee equal to my full fee, or $130.
If we both agree that you were unable to attend due to circumstances beyond your control, the fee may be waived
Good Faith Notice
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. For more information, please check out my page about Good Faith Estimates.
